Welcome

Welcome to my Website, Pencils and Paint.com. It is my hope that as you view my work, it will encourage you to use your creative talent. For as many people as there are in the world, there are that many styles of creativity. Just as each of us has unique fingerprints, each also has a unique talent to express ourselves. Yours may not be through paint, but may be through the typed or written word, song, building, signing, but all have a need to express what feelings are inside.

If you choose to order a print or original piece from this website, please know how very much your order means to me. It not only honors me but Him who has given me the ability to produce the piece. Thank you for visiting my site. I hope to have added features as time goes by. I leave you with this thought:

LOVE UNEXPRESSED IS LOVE UNKNOWN!

"Villareal's Fond Memories" was commissioned by Veronica (Villareal) Nelson, one of 10 children (8 girls and 2 boys) raised in this house. It was said that the house was at least 50 years old before the Villareals moved into it in 1953. It had been the main house of a rancher. The neighborhood was then built around it. The house had been a boarding house prior to the Villareals moving in. Veronica shared that "As the family grew through the years, (the Villareal home) was the main gathering spot for family, friends and neighbors and was filled with so much love and laughter. Sometimes, the love and laughter spilled out onto the (screened-in) front porch and yard. In the summer, the parents would sit on the front porch and talk while the kids chased fireflies or played games. It was a simpler time when everyone watched out for each other and you never had to worry about locking your doors - many were the times when Daddy would just yell "come on in" to anyone who knocked on the door. Of course, there were challenges to being brought up in a large family, but looking back on it now, I wouldn't have changed a thing."
